Atomes oscillates between documentary and speculative fiction to present an ambivalent story of women and nuclear engineering. A historical analysis, a feminist reinterpretation of an interview by three antinuclear activists and a music video of an AI generated pop song are woven together. Little by little, a tale of male domination emerges from this encounter between the hostesses of the Chinon power plant and the “Wasps of Fessenheim”.
