THE DOCUMENTS D’ARTISTES (DDA) NETWORK PRESENTS AND SUPPORTS MORE THAN 500 ARTISTS AND THEIR WORKS
The DDA Network unites the existing artist folio archive associations in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Brittany, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Occitania, Réunion and Geneva (Canton).
The association Documents d’artistes Bretagne is the co-founder of the Documents d’Artistes Network, established in 2011.
The Documents d’Artistes Network helps to connect artists, professionals, and contemporary art lovers through the organization of studio visits (“Meet-Up”), the production of original documents and publications, as well as the national and international circulation of the work carried out in each region.
The federation is a space for collaborative and contributory work, bringing together the Documents d’Artistes member associations around a charter and a method of working related to the digital artistic documentation developed by its founding members.
The editorial platform Reseau-dda.org puts artistic approaches into perspective through the production of publication formats, such as filmed interviews, critical texts, as well as the documentation of specific projects (residency logbooks, spotlight on works…). The site gives access to more than 500 files produced by all the Documents d’Artistes associations.
As a member of CIPAC, a federation of contemporary art professionals, the Documents d’Artistes Network participates in consultations in the sector and, thus, ensures the recognition of the work of artists and of the developments in the professional environment that they are a part of.
