The Past Sure is Tense

Exhibition, concerts and “Valda” vinyl launch at Glassbox (Paris), 2023

TNHCH and Hilary Galbreaith occupy Glassbox in the same way as a garage, a record shop, a rehearsal room, a painting studio or a museum, without really agreeing on what to do with the space on rue Moret, and without choosing between the visual arts and the performing arts.

The fruit of three years’ work, the album Valda was recorded at CAC Synagogue in Delme in the summer of 2022.
Inspired by the universe of musician and artist Captain Beefheart, the artists have created a hybrid, experimental ensemble. For this collective residency, they have agreed to create a sound and plastic laboratory where their work in painting, poster design, installation, video, performance and musical creation will intersect.
